Huaulta Mushrooms

The Huaulta strain has deep roots in Mexican and Central American Indiginous history. This strain of Psilocybe Cubensis mushroom has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years by the residents of Huaulta De Jiminez. Along with Mazatepec it was one of the first strains to be introduced to modern western culture in the late 1950’s by R Gordon Wasson in his famous LIFE Magazige article “seeking the magic mushroom”.

It is a moderatly potent strain which often elicits meaningful spiritual or mystical experiences, along with feelings of peace, relaxation, and deep connection to others and your surroundings. This strain (along with Mazatepec and Golden Teacher) is a great choice for a therapeutic or medical application.

Huaulta Mushrooms Onset and Timing


Generally you’re going to feel Huaulta effects within 30 to 60 minutes depending on factors like metabolism and consumption method. Tea
or Chocolate may come on quicker (10-30mins). The trip can last about six hours, possibly more, with a peak of about one to three hours. After 3-4 hours you’ll start to experience the come down which typically last a couple hours. Total trip is around 5-7 hours. 

Huaulta Mushrooms Potency

Huaulta shrooms are considered to be an average potency mushroom.  The potency is similar to mushrooms like Mazatepec and a little weaker than Golden Emperor.  These are great for beginners but also good for those more experienced folks willing to eat a bit more.  Keep in mind potency can vary from batch to batch and even mushroom to mushroom.

Huaulta Mushrooms Dosage

* Microdose: 0.025 – 0.25 grams
* Low Dose: .5 – 2 grams
* Moderate Dose: 2 – 3 grams
* High Dose: 3 – 5 grams and above
